A day ago, the General Director of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, pointed the finger of accusation at the media. Rrumbullaku claimed that journalists had misinformed the public about the murder of Egli Proga in Pogradec.
Rrmbullaku warned of criminal prosecution for those media that had raised doubts that the event in question was hidden, openly violating the freedom of the media.
BIRN journalist, Blerina Gjoka, has shown that the news published by Reporter.al with the title "Head of the State Police attacks the media for the murder of the 42-year-old in Pogradec", was blocked by Facebook. So the news was posted on the platform, but then it was automatically deleted.
"Facebook does not allow us to post the news about Rrumbullak attacking the media. Digital dictatorship!” , writes Gjoka.
Her denunciation was supported by her colleague, journalist Isa Myzyraj. He claims that Facebook deleted the journalist's news post as well.
