A published video of Albanian music icon Parashqevi Simaku, shown as homeless in the US, touched the hearts of many Albanians. 

Regarding the singer's story, conductor Jetmir Barbullushi said today in the News 24 studio that Parashqevia is not the first time an artist has taken that turn in the road.

He said that he met singer Tonin Tërshana on the streets of Thessaloniki years ago in a bad situation.

"Parashqevi is not the first case. I remember in this case, that's how I met Toni Tërshana in Thessaloniki, after a concert he came and grabbed me, he spoke to me "Jetmir... who was working at the time. They were very big names in our music.
