After a 24-hour suspension, the first plane lands in Rinas

Almost two days after Albania's airspace was considered a "red zone" without any flights, the first plane with a load of anti-Covid vaccines landed in Rinas.

Suspensions at Rinas airport "freeze" as Albanian controllers considered themselves unable to work due to excessive stress accumulated after long-term pay cuts.

Controllers from Turkey have arrived in Albania, who will manage the Albanian airspace, until a solution is given to the situation.

We recall that the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Belinda Balluku in a press release said that today the essential flights would start today and tomorrow the commercial ones. The news was announced by the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Belinda Balluku from Rinas. She said air traffic has started work.
