The Tirana police have put Vebi Brahimaj in handcuffs, who presented himself as a state functionary and had embezzled significant sums of money from a woman.

His case was denounced on the show "Stop" by a woman, since according to her, in October 2022, she gave Vebi Brahimaj 10 thousand Euros, after she had known him from a social circle and was introduced to him as a prosecutor in SPAK. The latter promised to double his money in two weeks, as he needed it for a tender of police uniforms.

Police notification:

The Tirana police have reacted in relation to a case broadcast on the investigative show "Stop", which is about a citizen, who by means of deception, presenting himself as a state functionary, had embezzled significant sums of money from a citizen.

The specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crime in cooperation with the Sector of the Special Operational Force in DVP Tirana, after the publication of the footage, organized the work to capture and bring before the legal responsibility of the citizen who appears in the video.

Following the actions, the specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes at the DVP Tirana arrested the citizen Vebi Brahimaj, 55 years old, a resident of Tirana, for the criminal offenses of "Fraud" and "Appropriation of a state title or office".

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Tirana General Jurisdiction, for further actions.
