The Border Police in Kakavija have captured a citizen from Honduras, who was wanted after taking 9,000 euros from a citizen through fraud.

In the control that was carried out, 10,150 euros and 400 dollars were also seized, which this citizen did not declare at the border according to legal regulations.

Also, during the check, several forged identification documents were found on this citizen, which he is suspected to have used during his stay in Albania, in order not to be identified by the Police.

He was wanted after receiving 9,000 euros, a citizen, through fraud, was caught trying to cross to Greece, the 41-year-old (foreign citizen).

10,150 euros and 400 dollars are seized, which this citizen did not declare at the border, according to legal regulations.

Forged identification documents are also seized, which this citizen is suspected to have used during his stay in Albania, in order not to be identified by the Police.

The Border Police Services, following checks for the prevention, detection and suppression of cross-border crimes, at the exit of RSH, have detained the citizen JS, 41 years old, born in Honduras and resident in Germany.

The arrest of this citizen was made after the verifications showed that he was wanted by the DVP Tirana, for the criminal offense of "Fraud", because in Tirana, a Kosovar citizen took the amount of 9000 euros by defrauding him.

During the physical check, the services of the Border Police found the citizen JS, 10,150 euros and 400 dollars, which he had not declared at customs, according to the legal provisions in force. Also, during the check, several forged identification documents were found on this citizen, which he is suspected to have used during his stay in Albania, in order not to be identified by the Police.

Following the actions, the investigative structures of the DVP Gjirokastër referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, for the citizen JS, for the criminal offenses "Failure to declare money and valuables at the border" and "Cleaning of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity" and "Forgery" of identity cards, passports or visas".

The citizen JS was handed over to the services of DVP Tirana, for further procedural actions.
