Snowfall creates traffic problems on several road axes in Shkodra

The local Shkodra Police Directorate has informed about the road situation and the problems encountered due to bad weather with rain and snow.

According to the police, the problematic axes are Tamarë - Selcë - Vermosh; Bogë - Qafë Thorë - Theth; and Pukë - Fushë Arëz - Qafë Mali, as there is snow and continuous snowfall. The Traffic Police Services in cooperation with snowplows have come to the aid of a driver from Saranda who had been blocked on the Theth-Bogë road axis. 

"The Traffic Police Services have increased their presence on urban and rural road axes due to bad weather with rain and snow.
Currently, on the Tamara - Selcë - Vermosh road axis; Bogë - Qafë Thorë - Theth; and Pukë - Fushë Arëz - Qafë Mali, there is snow after continuous snowfall.
Snowplows are on the ground and continue their work to clear the roads of snow and distribute salt.
The Traffic Police Services, in cooperation with the snowplows, have come to the aid of a driver from Saranda who had been blocked on the Theth-Boga road axis, and had requested assistance from 112, as he was driving on summer tires and was unable to continue driving.
The Traffic Police appeals to drivers to be careful when driving, to respect road signs, to reduce speed, to be equipped with chains and winter tires and follow the instructions of the Traffic Police services.
