The kidnapping and murder of Jan Prenga, the brother testifies for the first

The brother of Jan Prenga, who was kidnapped and killed in January 2020, has today told GJKKO details about the phone calls he received when he was in prison in England, from a person who introduced himself as Gentjan Funiqi.

Ndrek Prenga stated that he was in prison in London and that every day he had contact with family members, his wife and children, with whom he communicated through the prison phone.

He told the black squads that he spoke with his brother Jan Prenga, whose body has not yet been found, about a week before he was kidnapped and then killed.

"A black citizen brought an "Iphone" type phone into my room, with which a person with a foreign prefix called, introducing himself as Gentjan Funiqi," Prenga said.

"He told me: 'Give me the thing'," Prenga confessed, and according to him, Gentjan Funiqi was referring to the amount of 260 kilograms of cocaine that turned out to be lost and was suspected to have been stolen by their other brother, Astrit Prenga, together with their friend of the family, Gëzim Shullani, a Romanian citizen and an Albanian citizen named Xhulian.

During the testimony, Prenga said that Funiqi, during the conversations, had told him that he had tried to communicate with the other brother, Astriti, but had not succeeded.

"After a day or two, I was informed by the bride that Jani was taken hostage and that after that, I tried to find out what happened", he confessed.

After a few days, Ndrek Prenga was made aware that it was about a quantity of 260 kg of cocaine that had been stolen at the port and during the communications he had with Gentiani, the latter asked him to hand over that "thing" referring to quantity of drugs in order to release the hostage.
