Jan Prenga's kidnapping/ Dritan Rexhepi breaks the silence: I don't

Dritan Rexhepi, known as the "cocaine king", gave his testimony this Thursday at the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC), regarding the kidnapping and disappearance of Jan Prenga.

During the hearing, Rexhepi denied any connection with the accused Gentian Funiqi, stating that he did not know him and had never seen him in his life. He promised to prove this with further evidence.

"I was in high security in Prato prison, after I had an appeal in Florence and they held me for 10 days. I do not know and have never seen Gentian Funiq in my life. I will prove this with the following evidence," Rexhepi said before the court.

The case of the kidnapping of Jan Prenga
Jan Prenga was kidnapped on January 17, 2020 and his body has not yet been found. According to investigations, the kidnapping was organized by the Hajri family in Shijak and the Dukagjin group in Shkodra, with suspicions that Dritan Rexhepi was the one who ordered the kidnapping.

The cause of this brutal act is related to 260 kilograms of cocaine, which was allegedly stolen by a group consisting of Astrit Prenga, Gëzim Shullani, a person named Xhuliano from Shkodra and a Romanian, at the port of Smuth in England. After the drugs were divided among them, the criminal groups began searching for the lost quantity, escalating the situation into kidnapping and disappearance.

Investigations into this matter continue, while Gramoz Rexhepi is expected to face new evidence in the ongoing court process.
