Sali Berisha appears in SPAK

Leader of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha appeared at the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK) this Tuesday morning.

With a letter signed by the prosecutor in the case, Elvin Gokaj, he was summoned to answer questions based on the complaint filed against him by the GJKKO judge, Irena Gjoka, on the charge of defamation.

The case is related to Berisha's accusations against Irena Gjoka that she had a conversation with former socialist MP Alket Hyseni, in which they talked about a 500 thousand euro bribe to remove him from the classification as a criminal group. Earlier, Argita Malltezi, who made the same accusations as her father against Irena Gjoka, testified in SPAK on the same issue.

According to the official letter, Berisha will be questioned as a person aware of the circumstances, within the framework of the preliminary investigation into the report of Judge Irena Gjoka.

"I don't know the specific files, but of course, as an institution of collaboration with crime, there are hundreds of thousands of citizens who are very angry here, have big problems. Then there is Edi Rama himself with Gjipena. It's about Gjipena. He took Gjipena from them... The hand of the mafia, the hand of the government is everywhere," Berisha told the media before entering the SPAK premises.
