EU-Western Balkans summit, issues expected to be discussed on Tuesday

The leaders of the countries of the European Union and the Western Balkans will gather in Tirana to hold the EU-Western Balkans Summit on December 6.

The summit is the first of its kind to be held in Tirana. His agenda includes a number of topics for discussion, where the focus remains on the Russian war in Ukraine.

The main topics of discussion will be:

- Dealing together with the consequences of the Russian aggression against Ukraine.

- Intensification of political engagement.

-Strengthening security and building resilience against foreign interference.

-Addressing the challenges posed by immigration, the fight against terrorism and organized crime.

The summit will also discuss the integration of the Western Balkans into the internal markets of the EU. At its conclusion, there will be a joint declaration of the delegations.

We remind you that on the same day, the Democratic Party called a protest at 12:00 on Boulevard "Dëshmorët e Kombit". The head of the Democrats, Sali Berisha, has stated that the protest is not against the EU, but to show the voice of the Albanians and to welcome the European leaders.
