Policeman in Konispol arrested for selling expired products

A 56-year-old municipal police officer in Konispol was arrested after using his duty to avoid checks in the store.

" During the controls, in a commercial entity that was operating within the security perimeter of a high school in Konispol, police officers found that the owner of this entity was selling smuggled goods, a large part of which posed a health risk of students and other citizens, because the expiration date had passed.

Following the actions, the specialists for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes of the Sarandë Police Station arrested the owner of the store, citizen Neim Arapi, 56 years old, a resident of Konsipol, in charge of the Konispol Municipal Police.

The verifications showed that this citizen, using the duty, influenced to avoid controls in the entity where products were sold without an invoice.

Various smuggled and expired food products were seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Sarandë, for further actions. ", announced the police.
