The criminal group in Rome is destroyed, 8 in handcuffs, 5 of them Albanians

The Italian Antimafia Directorate has detained 8 people (Italian and foreign) suspected of belonging to a criminal group operating in Rome and in the provinces of Foggia, Terni, Frosinone, Latina, L'Aquila and Viterbo.

After the investigations carried out in the period November 2019-March 2020, 5 Albanians, 2 Italians and 1 Macedonian were put in handcuffs. They stole valuables, gold bars and high-value watches from luxury apartments.

For each criminal event, the "modus operandi" of the thefts has been reconstructed (almost always at night time, after surveillance services on the targets reported by third parties involved in the role of "shooters"), as well as the channels of receiving stolen goods , illegally resold inside the capital.

Further, in the same context, several sales of narcotics such as marijuana and cocaine, which took place between Rome and Terni, as well as the cultivation of a marijuana plantation built in a Nature Reserve in the Municipality of Nazzano Romano, were ascertained and documented.
