The number of controllers escorted to the police has gone up to 28. Some of them were called on the phone and went voluntarily to the police, while the rest were escorted by the police after midnight from a private environment where they were gathered behind Albcontrol.

Meanwhile, the Prosecution of the Judicial District, Tirana has launched investigations into this matter. They are charged with the criminal offense of "abuse of duty", provided by Article 248 of the Criminal Code.

We remind you that no flight can be operated at Rinas Airport from Wednesday morning.

This event brought reactions there were harsh reactions from the government. The Minister of Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku and the Prime Minister Edi Rama have described it as a coup, instigated by the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and the President Ilir Meta.

The latter said that the controllers should return to work, while calling on the government, institutions and ambassadors in our country to sit down in dialogue to resolve this situation.

The requirements of Albcontrol employees are:

-Return of colleagues to work;

Repeal of board decisions;

-Return of full salary according to the collective contract;

-Complete financial transparency for 2020;

-A union member to be a board member.
