Accused of misuse of duty, the police prosecuted the inspector of the Agricultural Directorate in Dibër, KK, 58 years old.
The inspector has allowed two residents of the Selishte area to cut 150 beech trees and 25 m³ of timber without permission.
"The Dibër Police Station referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office for the criminal offense of "Abuse of duty", in charge of the citizen HK, 58 years old, resident of Selishtë village, Dibër, with the duty of Inspector in the Directorate of Agriculture, Water and Pasture Administration in Dibër Municipality .
From the investigations carried out, it was found that this citizen, not exercising the legal powers that the law charges him with responsibility for, did not inform the police structures but allowed two residents in his forest area, in the place called "Lake Bataçe", in Kacni village, cut 150 beech trees and 25 m³ of timber without permission.
In-depth investigations are continuing for the documentation of this criminal activity to the detriment of the environment, the identification and capture of the responsible perpetrators" , the police announced.
