SPAK requests 1.6 years in prison for the former mayor of Pogradec

The Special Prosecution Office filed a claim requesting a 1 year and 6 month sentence for former Pogradec mayor Eduart Kapri for the criminal offense of abuse of office committed in collaboration. SPAK said that due to the summary trial, Kapri should be sentenced to 1 year in prison.

SPAK has named the former mayor as a defendant after accusing him of allowing the completion of suspended works on the 12-story building of the Gedi sh.pk company, where he himself was an administrator, with the help of two of his officials.

The investigating body says that after winning the mayoral elections, he transferred the signature to his brother's name. According to the investigation, the 12-story building in neighborhood no. 3 of Pogradec was built with 2 additional floors, making it 14 floors.
