"Living with light when the twilight has taken over", the Albanian

23 different stories, stories with the unknown, in times of fear and isolation where it seems the world stopped to fight an unusual enemy like Sars-CoV2. Emotions are poured into colors and symbols in the work plans and agendas of health institutions that had bigger tasks and responsibilities than usual. Dr. Ardian Xinxo in the WHO offices, in the protracted meetings on health policies to reduce the spread of the virus, threw in the usual A4 formats, 23 paintings. Each of them is a Covidian story and are already on display to the public.

Dr.Xinxo these are difficult times for millions of people around the world, where life and health continue to be threatened by a virus still unknown. How did you experience this pandemic time?

Emergency management is my specialty and one of the "pillars" of WHO. The pandemic was expected to come to Albania. It was a time of intensive work to support the Ministry of Health to strengthen and create the capacities that would soon be needed by the Health Sector of the country.
Then she came and infected and changed everything day by day.

Creativity in painting comes as an artistic or professional moment?

Creativity as "art" was born with me and as Sars-CoV-2, "infects" everything I do. Now COVID-19 and the art inside me are "connected" and after scribbling and coloring worksheets, they opened the exhibition. I know it's incorrect to say "thank you" to Sars-CoV-2, but this exhibition relates to it. Good or bad, this is how it happens, art, feeds on all your feelings and those of people, their anxieties, the pain that weighs on you and takes your breath away, the death in the silence of loneliness, the revolt against abuse. human kindness and human solidarity.

How has the pandemic affected mental health?
Mental health! I think he has touched minds first, all minds, or almost all, and much less the lungs.

How are moments such as insecurity, stress, depression and coping with illness reflected in your 23 works?
It is present in all paintings, as suffering, or hope of light. The pandemic made them more visible and extreme, because society suffered from them, suffered without starting the pandemic.

Is there a personal experience in this creativity?
Everything is personal, from shouting, revolt, escape, peace, deep respect, dreams.

What is the purpose of this exhibition?
In a philosophical plan, "to live with light when dusk has overtaken you." In a practical plan, express the concerns of the time, in the hope that you will understand and convey courage.
