The Court against Corruption and Organized Crime has dismissed the SPAK investigation into the food tender at the Ministry of Defense.

SPAK took defendants citizens, Ylli Imeri, Dafina Keça and Andrea Dapaj, who are the chairman and two members of the Bid Evaluation Commission. GJKKO has declared incompetent the accusation of "abuse of duty" by the officials of the Ministry, emphasizing that this case should be verified by the Tirana Prosecutor's Office.

 During the investigation, the Minister Olta Xhaçka was also interrogated, who at that time was leading the Ministry of Defense, the prosecution body did not find evidence against her. For other persons involved in the investigation, such as the administrator of the company that won the tender, SPAK has requested the termination of the investigation. 

In April 2020, the Democratic Party filed a criminal complaint with the Special Prosecution Office against former Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka. According to the DP, the food tender is a corrupt affair and the company was selected without competition.
