"The electoral process in Greece is being manipulated", Topalli: Unidentified people take envelopes in gambling establishments

"The electoral process in Greece is being manipulated", Topalli:

In a media statement from the blue headquarters, the DP's political leader for the diaspora, Jozefina Topalli, denounced that unidentified people appear at so-called post offices, but according to her, they are gambling establishments and take the envelopes with the ballots to Greece.

Topalli calls for international monitoring, calling on the OSCE - ODIHR to focus specifically on the process in Greece.

"An international monitoring by foreign observers on the process that has gotten out of control and we have the judgment that it is being carried out by the ruling party, we request their support and monitoring," said Topalli.

The DP's political leader for the diaspora also had an appeal to the CEC and SPAK.

"Secondly, we ask the CEC to audit all ballot boxes, the method of transporting the ballots to the municipality and the transportation from Greece to Tirana. Thirdly, we call on SPAK to conduct an investigation and ask questions about who are those who are breaking the law," said Topalli.

Jozefina Topalli: I want to express a deep, serious and urgent concern about what is actually happening in Greece. There are continuing indications that in what are called postal service centers, which are gambling establishments, unidentified people are taking not one, but 10 to 100 voting envelopes and returning them to these establishments without affixing their signature and without submitting their identification. If a vote is cast in a gambling establishment and in the dark, without identification and without the signature of the person who receives it, this is not a vote that can be evaluated. We are not simply in conditions of legal violation, where this phenomenon is spread to all gambling establishments, this is called manipulation of the electoral process in Greece. I ask the ODIHR and the OSCE to have a special focus on the process that is happening in Greece. An international monitoring of foreign observers on the process that has gone out of control and we have the judgment that it is being carried out by the ruling party, we ask for their support and monitoring. Secondly, we ask the CEC to audit all ballot boxes, the method of transportation of the ballot papers and the transportation from Greece to Tirana. Thirdly, we call on SPAK to conduct an investigation and ask them questions about who are those who are breaking the law.
