A tourist operator in the capital has set up a fraud scheme that has fallen prey to dozens of citizens.
The 27-year-old with the initials A.Gj, a resident of Tirana, using her job as an operator in a tourist company "trapped" her clients.
She would book travel tickets for various clients and after receiving their money, cancel those tickets.
"Specialists of the Sector for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crime arrested the citizen A. Gj., 27 years old, resident of Tirana. This citizen is suspected of making use of her duties as an operator in a tourist company, booking travel tickets for different customers and after appropriating the payments made, canceling the tickets", the Police informs.
The materials were passed to the prosecutor's office for further action.
