She was burned with gasoline by her husband, Melisa Trëndafili speaks from

Melisa Trëndafili, who was burned with gasoline by her husband, Bledar Trëndafili, spoke from the QSUT hospital, where she is being treated after the serious injuries she received from the burn.

For Top Channel, Melisa said that two days before the event, she met with Bledari and that he was very calm. On the day when the incident happened, she says that she did not notice the gasoline she was carrying.

"I am very sorry. I was coming back from work, he found me in the alley of the house, he stopped and I didn't see that he had gas. He put the bottle in his pocket. He took it out and threw the lighter at me, it was the neighbor who put out the fire with water. He came two days ago, met the children, we sat in a playground, he was calm. I told him about the children we must have communication. The second day we didn't talk anymore, the third day he came and did it.

We are waiting to see how the wounds are. I only know that I will be in the hospital for a long time. I have more wounds on my hands because I tried to put out the fire with my hands, stomach and thighs. I have a fever and anxiety has started. I can't sleep, I'm scared. His image appears before my eyes, I fear for the children as well. I have known him for 10 years. He has changed his name, he had Bledar Trëndafili and now he has Elton Trëndafili. For years in November, I was getting sick very often because we lived in Tirana, we had our own work.

I was sick from the stress, I talked to him for good, that you see we have a family, he wasn't making any difference and I got sicker and that's when I decided to see my children and myself. I contacted his family members because I have good relations. They support me, they tried their best to make him change but he didn't. During the season he worked in Saranda. We have changed many houses. I have nothing. When I had a job here in Tirana, which my husband's people opened for me, he destroyed it. My family has already helped me, since November. I work where I can. He left me very bad with insurance," she said.
