Pëllumb Meta's brother, Ramazan Meta, has issued accusations against his sister-in-law, Blerina Meta, that the latter is the author of the murder.

In an interview with Nea24 journalist Klodjana Haxhiaj, the elderly man said that the children could not kill their father.
