Montreal Canadiens defenseman Arbër Xhekaj, of Albanian origin, was involved in a heated brawl on Sunday evening, facing off against New York Rangers rival Matt Rempe.

Rempe, skating in his sixth straight game since returning from an eight-game suspension for an illegal hit on the Dallas Stars' Miro Heiskanen, initiated the exchange after a physical altercation by Xhekaj.

The two threw down their gloves immediately after the whistle, with Jack landing some heavy punches, drawing loud cheers from the Montreal crowd, and ultimately ending the bout and skating away with his fist raised in celebration.

Xhekaj was irresistible in front of his opponent, where after a fight he beat him badly, knocking him to the ground.

The Albanian, who plays for the famous Canadian team Montreal Canadiens, is active in defense and is tough on opponents. In the last game, his action against Rempe went viral on social networks.
