The murder of Briken Sanaj at "Kodra e Diellit", the author is

The author of the murder of Briken Sanaj, an event that happened in 2022 in the "Hill of the Sun" area in Tirana, has been arrested.

The perpetrator, Vladimir Kola, 41, was arrested in Gelsenkirchen. Kola was declared internationally wanted after the Court of Tirana, with the decision dated 23.11.2022, assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison".

Sanaj's murder is suspected to be revenge after his brother injured Vladimir Kola's brother in 2012

"Following the work on tracking, locating and capturing wanted citizens, based on the information provided by DVP Tirana and their exchange in real time, between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Wiesbaden, the joint police operation has been organized and finalized, coded "Versus".                 

In the framework of this operation, the Albanian citizen V. (V.) K., 41 years old, was located in the city of Gelsenkirchen, Germany, and was arrested for the purpose of extradition to Albania.            

This citizen was declared an international wanted by Interpol Tirana, after the Court of Tirana, with the decision dated 23.11.2022, assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Murder with premeditation" and "Carrying without permission and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".    

On 30.10.2022, in the area called "Kodra e Diellit", the citizen V.(V.) K., in cooperation with other citizens, is suspected of having killed the citizen BS with a firearm. Work continues on the extradition of the 41-year-old , in Albania" , informs the police.
