The murder of Pjerin Xhuvani, Arbër Paplekaj demands innocence

Today in the court of Elbasan, the final conclusions of the lawyers were given for the event of April 21, 2021 in Elbasan where Pjerin Xhuvani was killed. The prosecution in its final conclusions asked for 25 years in prison for Arben Paplekaj, sticking to the charge at the start of the trial, "murder in qualifying circumstances".

Papleka's defense argued the killing in self-defense, taking into account the testimonies given by the witnesses, thus claiming the innocence of Arber Papleka.

According to the defense, the prosecution did not even take into account the forensic expertise requested by the prosecution itself, where the doctors say that at the time of the incident, Arbër Papleka was in a severe mental state, which has led to a weakened consciousness and caused by the circumstances of an attack sudden which happened in a few seconds and where an immediate reaction took place under the barrage of bullets to protect life.

On the other hand, Xhensila Sota asks that Arbër Paplekaj not be tried for her injury. This statement was added to the file as an expression of Sota's will.
