In relation to the event that happened around 11:45 p.m., on 26.09.2023, in Katund, Sukth, where still unidentified citizens fired at the vehicle driven by citizen TD (M.), 37 years old, resident in Katund, Sukth, who as a result lost his life, in the hospital, we inform you that:

As soon as they received the notification, the Durrës Police services and 2 groups of FNSH, Tirana, arrived at the scene and set up checkpoints on all axes related to the area, with the aim of catching the perpetrators. In addition, the investigative group, set up specifically to clarify this case, has continued its work, under the direction of the prosecutor, to record any evidence that will lead to the clarification of the event and the identification of the perpetrators.

The Police Services, under the direction of the prosecutor, have carried out all investigative and procedural actions for the case. Specifically, until now, 7 citizens have been escorted to the Police premises to be questioned about the circumstances of this event (among them the citizen E. Sh., a passenger in the vehicle driven by the 37-year-old, at the time of the shooting). , the security cameras with a view from the road axis 'Maminas - Shijak - Sukth - Sallmone' (the axis that was followed by the citizen TD (M.)) were seized, house checks were carried out, mobile phones were searched, as well as cooperation with ZQK Interpol Tirana , to identify social ties of the victim or citizen with whom there may have been conflicts, abroad. Also, the vehicle that TD (M.) was driving and his 2 cell phones were seized, and their detailed examination continues.

From the verifications so far carried out in coordination with the Dutch counterparts, it has been found that the citizen TD (M.) has been investigated in this country, for trafficking in narcotics.

The materials for these procedural actions have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for conducting further investigations, in order to clarify the dynamics of this event, for the identification and capture of the perpetrators.
