The perpetrator of last night's murder in Tirana has surrendered to the police. It is about 28-year-old Marjus Dema, who shot his friend, Mehmet Qema, 27, with a pistol.

The police also learned that Frenkli Myftari, one of the persons who was at the table at the time of the crime, who was wanted by the police, also surrendered. The surrender was made after family negotiations between the police and the perpetrator.

Marjus Dema is charged with "Intentional Murder" and "Unlawful Possession of a Weapon", while Frankli Myftari, 29, is charged with "Failure to report a crime" and "Actions that hinder the discovery of the truth".

Erlind Peka, 27 years old, Bralid Aga, 28 years old, Blerim Hoti, 23 years old and Xhuljano Koçi, 19 years old, are also wanted for the criminal offenses "Failure to report a crime" and "Actions that hinder the discovery of the truth", as they were present at the time the crime occurred.

According to official sources, the event took place around 23:15 last night, on "5 Maji" street in the capital.

The suspicions are that the murder may have occurred through negligence. The victim and the perpetrator are suspected to have been friends and while they were in the company of other persons, it is suspected that the weapon held by Dema was fired carelessly and as a result left 27-year-old Mehmet Qema dead.
