Suspected of harassment and violence, a policeman is arrested in Gjakovë

The Police Inspectorate of Kosovo respectively the investigators of the Department of Investigation have arrested an official today

A policeman was arrested in Gjakovë after allegedly committing the criminal offense of "Harassment" and "Violence".

IPK announces that it had received information two days earlier from the Kosovo Police and the complainant who has denounced the case in which this police official allegedly committed illegal actions.

"Based on the initial investigative actions, it is suspected that the police officer blackmailed the victim in this case through several photos and video recordings," the announcement states.

After receiving this information, IPK investigators in coordination with the prosecutor's office have undertaken investigative actions after which the police official suspected in this case has been arrested, while the competent prosecutor has ordered a detention measure for 48 hours.

The IPK investigators, in full coordination with the State Prosecutor's Office, will continue to undertake other investigative actions towards the complete illumination of all the circumstances related to this case.
