The former Speaker of the Parliament of Kosovo, Jakup Krasniqi, who is being held in The Hague under charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity, has today reached his native village, in Negroc, municipality of Drenas.
The reason for the visit is the death of his brother, Azem Krasniqi. The former Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Jakup Krasniqi, will stay in Kosovo from October 10-12.
We recall that the Hague Court refused to grant permission to Krasniqi to attend his brother's funeral (Sunday, October 6), but then the tribunal decided that he should be allowed to come to Kosovo these two days to meet his family members. , "but with limited measures, determined by the Court".
Krasniqi was accompanied by numerous police vehicles. Two days later, he will return to The Hague again, where he has been facing charges of crimes against humanity by the tribunal for years.
