As a result, units from the Operational Reserve Forces Battalion of the NATO-led KFOR mission will no longer be present in the municipality building. Instead, they will stay in the area and carry out regular patrols to ensure a safe and secure environment for all people living in the municipality of Zveçan.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate – based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 – to provide a safe environment for all communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially.
