KFOR: Our presence in the North of Kosovo has quadrupled

Almost 1,000 additional soldiers with heavy weapons have been deployed in northern Kosovo.

In the written response of KFOR, it is stated that " as a reaction to the recent tensions, the largest reinforcement of KFOR troops in the last decade followed" , writes FrontOnline.

" Almost 1,000 additional soldiers with heavy weapons have been deployed. We have quadrupled the presence of KFOR in North Kosovo and tripled the number of patrols, including along the border line. KFOR maintains a flexible and agile stance throughout Kosovo and is ready to respond to all possible scenarios, in accordance with its UN mandate. Our mission remains the third security service in Kosovo, after the Kosovo Police and EULEX, our commander is in regular contact with everyone" , the answer continues.

The Government of Kosovo has previously announced that Friday (December 1) is the last day for Serbs in the North of Kosovo to replace their KM license plates with RKS license plates.
