The protest organized by the Collective for Feminist Thought and Action with the motto "there is no peace without the safety of women" has started in Pristina.

The protest sparked by the cruel murder of 30-year-old Liridona Ademaj at the behest of her husband, Naim Murseli, on Wednesday, November 29, started today with the cries of "freedom, equality, solidarity".

Protesters mentioned the names of women killed over the years in Kosovo, demanding justice for each of them.

"Down with the patriarchy" and "there is no peace without the liberation of women", were some of the other slogans in the protest.
