Naim Murseli, former adviser to the former president of Kosovo, Behgjet Pacolli, was arrested today as the main suspect in the murder of his wife, Liridona. The 33-year-old woman was executed inside the vehicle in which she was traveling with her husband and two children.

Together with Murseli, GP, the author who is suspected of having committed the murder of Liridona, was also arrested. He admitted the criminal offense and confessed to the Kosovo police that he was paid 30 thousand euros by Naim Murseli to kill the 30-year-old woman.

The incident was reported as a robbery resulting in the death of one person. Two robbers had approached the vehicle in which the Murseli family was and after taking all their valuables, shot Liridona to death. Murseli declared on the night of the serious incident that he had taken the children and left the vehicle, while the robber had shot his wife.

It is unclear why Naim Murseli left the vehicle alone with his two children without trying to save Liridona. This raises doubts even after the images provided by street cameras, where it seems that Naim Murseli and the perpetrator of the murder met before the serious event.

As the fact emerges today that Naimi paid the author 30 thousand euros to kill Liridona, Pacolli's former advisor participated in Liridona's funeral ceremony.

The arrest of Naim Murseli was also confirmed by the Prosecutor's Office of Pristina, which stated that the weapon with which the murder of Liridona was allegedly committed was also seized.

"According to the order of the State Prosecutor and with the approval of the judge of the preliminary procedure, the General Investigations Unit of Prishtina, within the Kosovo Police, conducted raids in two locations in Gjakovë, in which case the persons were arrested from this action GP (hand) and NM (husband of the victim), suspected in the murder of the victim, and the weapon suspected to have been used in this case was seized.

Currently, the suspects are being interviewed at the police station, until the prosecution will take further legal actions against them. The prosecution, in coordination with the police, is continuing with the undertaking of investigative actions related to this case", announced the prosecution.
