Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti has called on citizens to use the last hours of voting and to go to the polls before their closure.

In a Facebook post, Kurti has called this day "D-Day of democracy" and stressed the importance of participating in elections for the future of the country.

"Whoever has not come out to vote, go now as soon as possible. Ask all of your relatives and friends if they voted and convey this message to them that they should go and vote immediately if they have not. Less than two hours later, until 7pm, is crucial for even more than the next four years!"

He also thanked the citizens for participating and stressed that their vote is crucial for Kosovo's future.
