It was the judge Matilda Fetahu, who, with the agreement of the prosecutor Mustafa Turku, decided to release Tahir this Friday, to the alternative punishment of staying at home, for 1 year and 8 months.

According to the order of the court, the former minister is allowed to leave the house, only to meet the necessary family needs with the knowledge and agreement of the Probation Service.

Who is judge Matilda Fetahu?

It seems a little surprising, but the judge of the Court of Elbasan, Matilda Fetau, faced this Monday, May 29, the Independent Qualification Commission, KPK, where she was confirmed in office.

The vetting process for Judge Fetau was carried out by the KPK body headed by Roland Ilia, with rapporteur Suela Zhegun and member Genta Tafa Bungo. Willem Broër was present as an international observer.

Matilda Fetau completed her studies at the Magistrate's School in 2015 and after a period of internship was appointed to the Elbasan District Court, where she continues to exercise the function.

During the hearing, the relator Zhegu did not identify any problems for an area of ​​arable land benefited by the subject's family of origin from the "Land" law; for a Toyota vehicle purchased from Fetau for the price of 2100 euros sourced from wages; for two overdrafts; an apartment used for rent, as well as related to other addresses declared by her.

Judge Fetau stated that the first case was upheld by the Appeal and that it was not appealed by the Prosecutor of the Appeal. According to her, the suspension was carried out based on the evidence examined in the trial, where it resulted that the defendant in question was the parent of two minor children, while the wife was proven to suffer chronically from psychological disorders, which created a tendency to commit suicide. According to the subject, this defendant had substantial responsibilities to take care of the family and therefore the suspension was appropriated in his case.

For the second denunciation, the subject explained that the decisions were quickly justified and communicated to the lawyers.
