The statement of Mr. Rrumbullaku in relation to the incident in Pogradec, where suddenly the media and individuals who comment on social networks were found guilty, who according to him have spread "disinformation with malicious intentions towards the State Police" could be the next attempt to cover up work defects of the state police or the state itself, as if there was not a dramatic turn: Mr. Rrumbullaku stated that "The Directorate of Media Relations in the State Police and the respective departments that deal with criminal prosecution are researching all social networks and are preparing the report criminal in relation to any individual and any social network in relation to this intentional disinformation…”

This statement, the cube state police publicly declares through a senior representative that it will use the SLAPP model to attack freedom of speech, speaks of a new strategy of freedom of the media and that of expression.

However, this development in the violation of freedom of expression is not unexpected. The Albanian police have started baring their teeth against the media for a long time.

At the end of May this year, the State Police arrested a female police officer and a journalist, and vaguely alluded to spreading fake news. This is a creative style of state institutions, when they are on the verge of illegality, or when they want to give coded messages, they create a vague language.

Any policeman who sets up a fraud and blackmail scheme deserves to be banned, but a journalist who receives information from a policeman has no reason to be banned "for spreading fake news", unless requested by the Albanian state court.

Even if the news were fake, the journalist published the information provided by the sources, and he could not be stopped without a prosecutor's or court's decision. If the sources have given him false news, it is not in the State Police's duty to "divide the case".

Apparently, the message was for any journalist who publishes news about the state police to be careful, because they could be arrested.

Organizations and the media (those media that really care about freedom of speech) raised their voices against the precedent. Apparently, the State Police has considered this act of illegality and the attack on the media a success. And the testing of "success" continued.

A few days ago, I found it hard to believe the news that appeared on some portals, where the state police have questioned some former journalists/employees of RTSh according to a lawsuit for spoiling the image of public television, and they wanted to their phones are confiscated.

Ky akt, është kaq i paligjshëm, sa refuzova ta besoja lajmin. E para, se RTSh-ja, në mjerimin ku e ka çuar Dr. i Përgjithshëm Peza ka një imazh aq të lodhur dhe RTSh është aq e parëndësishme në hapësirën televizive shqiptare, sa të ankohesh për prishje imazhi meriton një oskar për komedi; por, më e rëndësishmja, që “prishja e imazhit” është problem padie civile dhe nuk hyn në tagrin ligjor të policisë së shtetit. Aq më tepër, sekuestrimi i telefonave, është një akt kaq anti-ligjor, saqë, po të jetë i vërtetë kushdo që e ka bërë jo vetëm duhet të zhvishet nga uniforma, por meriton të kallëzohet penalisht për sekuestro abuzive. Ndaj, dhe mosbesimi im.

Mirëpo ky lajm, që unë nuk doja ta besoja, duket të jetë i saktë. Nga bisedat telefonike me të paktën 2 prej të ndaluarve, del që motivi i thirrjes në polici dhe kërkesa për “dorëzim” të telefonit kanë ndodhur vërtet.

Safe Journalists Network është në pritje prej më se një jave që kërkesa për informacion pranë Prokurorisë e Policisë së Shtetit në lidhje me rastin të marrë përgjigje. Dhe, sa më shumë kjo përgjigje vonon, shanset që kjo të jetë e vërtetë rriten.

Pra, i bie të kemi një tjetër akt anti-ligjor të Policisë së Shtetit në tentativë për t’i mbyllur gojën gazetarëve e qytetarëve që shprehin opinionet e tyre në rrjetet sociale.

Tentativat për t’i mbyllur gojën medias, kryesisht asaj online, sepse TV-ve ua kanë mbyllur prej kohësh me shuka benefitesh, nuk lindi me z. Rrumbullaku. Arsyeja është përherë e njëjta: pushteti apo institucuone të caktuara pretendon që është qelibar, dhe po i prishin “imazhin” me anë të ”dezinformimit keqdashës”.

Akti i fundit i deklaruar nga z. Rrumbullaku, ku me anë të kallëzimeve penale (se ku e gjen të bazuar në ligj z. Drejtor i Policisë që shpifja është akt penal, këtë vetëm ai e di) do të përndjekin ata që japin opinionet e tyre në rrjete sociale ose publikojnë lajme në media që nuk i pëlqejnë z. Rrumbullaku, ka vetëm një qëllim: të intimidojë. Kjo strategji, e njohur si SLAPP, ngritje padish të vazhdueshme ose për t’i trembur, ose për t’i munduar financiarisht gazetarët, është moralisht e dënueshme nga organizatat e medias e të drejtave të njeriut dhe nga institucionet europiane.

Më duhet t’i them z. Rrumbullaku, që këtë betejë e ka të humbur. Një tjetër person me pushtet tentoi të kalonte një paketë antishpifje, por, e mori qartë përgjigjen e Europës e të organizatave të medias.

Strategjia e z. Rrumbullaku ose e kujtdo që fshihet pas saj, edhe pse mund t’u kjetë dhënë shije “suksesi” në ndonjë rast, nuk do funksionojë.

Ajo, vetëm do ta zhysë Shqipërinë më poshtë në listën e vendeve pa liri të medias dhe do t’i shkaktojë një traumë të re Kryeministrit, që pasi e mbështet fort strategjinë e rrumbullakosur kundër medias, një herë në vit shqetësohet kur sheh që Shqipëria “e tij” renditet aq poshtë.

Në fakt, “e tij”, duhet shkruar pa thonjëza.
