The wolf does not vote.

The wolf does not vote.

By Lutfi Dervishi
Wolves, these proud beasts of the forest, never allow an idiot to lead them. In every pack, on every mountain, in every season, a wolf is a wolf: wild, wise, free. If the leader is worthless, there is no need for protests or petitions. He knows when to step down and if he doesn't, those who have followed him do.
But with people it's different. With the people it's completely different... This mystical creature endures everything: winter, summer, promises, disappointments, and most of all... idiots.
It doesn't matter if the shepherd has a degree, if there is milk in the jug, if he knows how to count the sheep he has, if the sheep are increasing or decreasing, it's enough to have a stick in his hand and... the people walk.
It's enough for the shepherd to wave his stick and the people march. Under the sun, under the rain, with boots, without boots, always forward... towards the abyss, but with style.
The wolves, sensing that their leader doesn't know where his tail is, no longer follow him. They eat him alive.
The people are different. The people vote, applaud, raise him to the sky, like him, give him mandates after mandates.
Do we change the leader?
No, it's better to change the continent we live on!
Do we demand accountability?
It's better to seek asylum.
Do we raise our voices?
No, we need our voices to cheer at rallies.
The wolf doesn't need elections. He either leads well or doesn't lead at all. It's the people who have the great privilege of choosing... and choose to submit!
And here we are: a pack that no longer seeks the wolf that leads them, but the shepherd who mocks them a lot.
So, the next time you use the word "animal" to offend someone... be careful: you're not offending them, you're complimenting them.
Animals don't vote for the useless. It is our privilege alone.
