She ended her life in prison, the letter that the Albanian sent to Maria De

"My name is Donatella Hodo, I just turned 26 years old, I am of Albanian origin but I grew up in Italy. Now unfortunately I find myself in Montorio prison, I ended up here because I had a difficult childhood and adolescence with so many problems, I don't I had strength and surrendered to drugs...", these are the words of Donatella Hodo, who addressed Maria De Filippi, with a letter that the young woman, who committed suicide in the prison in Montorio, had written to ask the presenter for help Italian.

Five months after the suicide of the 27-year-old, who committed suicide in her cell on the night between August 1 and 2 by inhaling gas from the stove, Donatella's father published the letter he found among his daughter's belongings. In the words written on October 10, 2020 from the Montorio prison and which were never handed over to the well-known TV presenter, we read:

"Maria please, please help me, I want to get out of this whole situation, I want to quit drugs, but I need someone to give me a chance... I'm 26 years old, I still have a life ahead of me, I want to calm down , to have a future, to return to my wonderful family…”.

She also wrote about the son who was taken from her when she was only 21 years old:

"No one was helping me, they put me in prison again and took the little one away. I wanted to die... why didn't they leave my little angel, why did you break my heart like this?" says the letter published by Corriere della Sera - " Every day, now, I wonder where he is, how he is, what color his eyes are and I feel guilty that I couldn't do anything about it... I will never forget it. Never".

"Maria, I am asking you with my heart in my hand - she continues - if you have any chance of helping me serve my sentence outside of prison, then it will be up to me to prove that I can do it... I am asking you to help me, to give me a chance, I can do many things and above all I have found the will to live, to make up for the lost years, I want not to destroy myself with my own hands. I send you a hug and await your reply with all my heart."

The Mediaset TV presenter never received the letter, which was only revealed today, published by the 26-year-old's father, highlighting the drama experienced by his daughter, who asked for help to start over and change her life.
