Here's the diet that's good for the brain

Proper nutrition during the day is not only a matter of taste but also of essential elements such as vitamins and minerals.

Harvard University biomedical researcher Jeffrey Karp suggests a diet that helps support a healthy brain.

For breakfast, the researcher suggests oatmeal cookies, walnuts, hazelnuts and any other nut that makes a healthy snack, seeds of all kinds, dairy products and blueberries.

Regarding lunch and dinner, Karp referred to carbohydrates found in certain foods that cause inflammation and discomfort in the body. This classification includes garlic, onions, wheat, cereals, among others. According to the researcher, substitutes for these foods should be sought to avoid side effects.

He emphasizes the importance of drinking water. Hydration of the body is vital and for this reason you should consume at least 2 liters of water per day. To stay hydrated, you should also consume foods and fruits rich in water, such as oranges, grapefruits and apples.

As for coffee, he argues, perhaps to everyone's disappointment, that one should drink one or two cups a week, thus limiting its effect on diets.

According to Karp, coffee in the long term can create anxiety and stress disorders that will affect mental health and consequently the brain and its functions.
