Recently, "The New York Post" has revealed that Reeves has donated about 70% of his profits from "The Matrix", the original 1999 film, to cancer research.
The prestigious outlet reported that Keanu earned a total of $45 million for the film, but decided to donate $31.5 million of that amount to fund leukemia research. The inspiration is said to have come from the actor's own personal life, as his younger sister has battled the disease.
