Who will inherit the fortune of 'Friends' star Matthew Perry

While awaiting the final findings from the Los Angeles medical examiner, to determine the cause that led to the death of the actor, Matthew Perry

Eyes are also directed to the issue of inheritance. The actor only earns about 20 million dollars a year from the rights of the "Friends" series. Who will be the one who will have 20 million in his account every year?

In more detail, US ET spoke to a lawyer who takes on similar cases involving Hollywood celebrities, revealing possible scenarios for Perry's estate.

According to Tre Lovell, “Royalty earnings continue after someone's death anyway. It is like a duty that is paid to the actor and will continue to be paid to his heirs." In the case of Matthew Perry, Lovell explained that there will be a designated representative who will determine where the actor's rights will go for the foreseeable future.

He also stated that it is currently unknown if Matthew Perry had made a will authorizing someone to manage his estate or if he had determined his assets after his death. If not, his property will go to his relatives.

"Given the fact that he had no wife or children, the estate will be divided equally between his parents," Lovell said. "It is more likely that each biological parent will receive half of the estate."

"Another possible scenario is that Matthew Perry intended at least a portion of his fortune to go to addiction charities."

"Addiction was a big part of his life. "He had spent millions of dollars to achieve his rehabilitation and I'm sure it had a personal effect on him," the lawyer said. "I think it's very likely that his estate will end up in some rehab facility because he was very involved in them."
