Michael B Jordan speaks for the first time about his split from Lori Harvey

The actor, 35, was a guest on Saturday Night Live for the first time over the weekend, where he was joined by Lil Baby, who was the evening's musical guest.

During his opening monologue, Jordan recounted how he "experienced his first public breakup," referring to his split from Lori Harvey in June 2022 after more than a year of dating.

"Most people after a breakup think: 'I'll be in better shape.' But I was already in Creed form!" he continued, referring to the upcoming film he directed and stars in. "So I had to say, 'Okay, I guess I'll learn a language again". Anyway, estoy en Raya."

SNL cast members Chloe Fineman, Heidi Gardner, Ego Nwodim and Punkie Johnson then attempted to shoot their scene with Jordan — PEOPLE's 2020 Sexiest Man Alive — with Nwodim, wearing a wedding dress.

"Aren't you gay?" Jordan asked Johnson as she flirted with him. In response, the star said: "I am. But you're Michael B. Jordan. And I'm Punkie B. Curious. I mean, even vegans have days when they make exceptions, right?"

During the show, Jordan participated in various skits, including one where he played Jake from State Farm and another where he portrayed a Southwest agent in a skit mocking the airline.

Lil Baby, 28, made his SNL debut and performed twice during the show, where he first sang "California Breeze" before taking the stage once more to sing his song "Forever."

Both songs come from their third album, It's Only Me, which was released in October 2022.
