Phoebe Dynevor to no longer be part of 'Bridgerton'

Acclaimed actress Phoebe Dynevor is not part of Season 3 of Bridgerton, at least that's what she told Screen Rant at the Sundance Film Festival on Saturday, January 28. When asked about the exciting future dynamics for the role of Daphne, aka Phoebe, in the new episodes of the upcoming season, the 27-year-old actress replied:

"Unfortunately not in Season 3. Potentially in the future. For Season 3, I'm excited to watch it as a viewer."

Phoebe Dynevor's exit or return to "Bridgerton" has not yet been confirmed by either Netflix or the production company Shondaland. However, according to US Magazine, Dynevor has appeared at several award shows around the country, while the rest of the series' cast members continue filming for the series in England. Speaking of which, many social media viewers pointed out that Phoebe showed up at the Utah film festival hours after other cast members were filming in Bath.

Bridgerton was adapted from the 8-book series by Julia Quinn, which focuses on the 8 Bridgerton siblings and their struggles with love and marriage. The period drama premiered on Netflix in 2020 and the first season featured the romance between Bridgerton's eldest daughter Daphne and Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings, played by Rege-Jean Page. The second season portrayed the love story between Bridgerton's eldest son Anthony, played by Jonathan Bailey, and Kate Sharma, played by Simone Ashley. The upcoming third season will shift the focus to Colin Bridgerton, played by Luke Newton and Penelope Featherington, who will be essayed by Nicola Coughlan.
