Baldwin said her first abortion happened after she was raped as a teenager and that she did not tell anyone at the time what had happened. She said she later became pregnant in a relationship that later ended.

"We were very unhappy together," she said in the video. "And he made it clear that he never wanted children or marriage - he hardly wanted to be in a serious relationship."

"I chose to have an abortion because I know exactly what it's like to be born between two people who hate each other," she said.

Baldwin's parents are actors Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger, who were married in 1993 and divorced in 2002, when Ireland was 7 years old.

In an April episode of "Red Table Talk", Basinger said she "went through a serious, very loud divorce when in public", which was a "very difficult time" for Ireland Baldwin, who also appeared in the episode.

Alec Baldwin spokesman declined to comment on his daughter's video.
