Victoria Beckham sparked divorce speculation last month when fans noticed she had removed a tattoo of husband David Beckham's initials from her wrist. And the former Spice Girl clarified the issue during her interview on the "Today" show on Thursday.

"I got these tattoos a long time ago and they just weren't that subtle," she said, noting that her husband and sons are covered in beautiful tattoos. “Mine were a little thick and bled a little and just weren't that pretty. They just didn't look that nice. It doesn't mean anything more than that. The media began to speculate, did I leave my husband? No. I was a bit tired of the tattoo. It's that simple."

Speaking about her family, the 48-year-old fashion designer also spoke about her son Brooklyn Beckham's marriage to Nicola Peltz.

"It was a beautiful wedding. As a mother, to see my son so happy means a lot, ” she said in a later interview with Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie.

And when asked what she hopes the young Peltz-Beckhams take away from their marriage, Beckham said:

“I think it's about being a close family and always having the lines of communication open. You can never really give advice, kids have to figure it out for themselves, but you always have to be there for them.”
