Motion of no confidence / Abazovic offers to restructure the government, the

Nine MPs from the Ura Movement and the People's Socialist Party of Montenegro have come up with an offer to restructure the government of Dritan Abazovic.

The initiative came during the session where the motion for the vote of no confidence in the Government of Dritan Abazovic is being discussed.

The proposal contains the principles on which the new government should be based and calls on all parliamentary parties to join the initiative, except those that have initiated no confidence in the Government.

The principles of the signed document include: strengthening the fight against corruption and organized crime at all levels, electoral reform and economic reforms, with the aim of improving living standards, European integration, regional cooperation and preparations for extraordinary parliamentary elections.

The initiative to topple the Government, presented by the Democratic Socialist Party of Montenegrin president Milo Djukanovic and some other parties, came after the government signed the Basic Agreement with the Serbian Orthodox Church.

The opposition parties evaluated the decision of Abazovic's government as harmful to the country's national interests.
