Vucic in Tirana, Serbian media: He will ask for the lifting of sanctions against

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic arrived a little while ago at the Palace of Congresses, where the Ukraine-Southeastern Europe Summit will be held. He first met Prime Minister Rama and then President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Serbia is the only country in the Balkans that has not agreed to sanction Russia.

The Serbian media write that Vucic will ask for the change of the statement that is expected to be signed at the end of the Summit. Specifically, according to Serbian media, Vučić will ask for the removal of the statement that calls for the imposition of sanctions against Russia and the part that states that Russia has "malign influence" on the countries of the region.

Likewise, Vučič will request that the term "the six countries of the Western Balkans" not be used in the text, because Serbia will not call Kosovo a state.

"We have some proposals for a statement, we will see, but the only thing I can say is that I will adhere to the principles and principles of the National Security Council of Serbia" , said Vucic in a short statement.
