Lavrov visits Serbia tomorrow, three countries block his airspace

Montenegro, northern Macedonia and Bulgaria have banned the flight that was supposed to allow Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to visit Belgrade tomorrow.

Unofficial sources have confirmed for Danas . The office of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vuçi., Has announced that tomorrow at 10:00 he will meet with the Russian Ambassador to Belgrade, Aleksandar Bocan-Kharchenko.

As previously announced, the head of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will visit the Republic of Serbia on June 6 and 7. Meetings are scheduled with President Vuçiç, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Speaker of the National Assembly and the Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

Recall that Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated today that the situation around the arrival of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Belgrade is extremely complicated and that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is dealing with the logistics of his trip.

"It is truly incredible that the situation in Europe and in the world is such that the president of a country has to deal with such things as the travel logistics of a foreign minister, which determines whether he will come or not . " said Brnabiç.
