Protests in Israel, 150 thousand people on the streets against Netanyahu

Tens of thousands of people took to the streets of Tel Aviv and other Israeli cities on Saturday night to denounce the Netanyahu government and demand a deal to release hostages held by Hamas.

Organizers of the rally in Tel Aviv said yesterday was the largest demonstration since the outbreak of war.

Israeli reports said there were about 150,000 anti-government protesters in Tel Aviv, while strong demonstrations also took place in Jerusalem, Haifa and other cities.

Addressing the crowd in Tel Aviv, Yuval Diskin, former head of the Shin Bet (Israel's internal security service), called Benjamin Netanyahu "the worst prime minister" Israel has ever had.
