Rama reacts to the sentencing of Adriatik Llalla: We are waging an open fight

Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted for the first time regarding the sentencing of the former General Prosecutor, Adriatik Llalla to 2 years in prison by the GJKKO.

Speaking in an interview with French media Tv5 Monde, Rama said that this sentence speaks for itself and that Albania is in an open war against corruption and crime.

" The fact that impunity in Albania is no longer a norm, and the fact that there are people from strong powers who have appeared before the courts and been convicted, speaks for itself. We are waging an open war against corruption, we are waging an open war for the state of law and I want to increase the fight against drug trafficking /

 "We are not an exception in Europe and if we talk about quantities, we are among the countries with the least significant quantity and thirdly we have made very important progress in this regard, " Rama said.
