Discussions between tensions, Basha's sympathizers try to physically attack deputies, insult journalists
The presidency of the Democratic Party decided to open the race for president by holding elections on July 29.
The meeting, which lasted 8 hours, was closed at around 02:30, being accompanied by tension and division between the deputies, who were divided into two groups.
A group, consisting of Gazment Bardhi, Dashnor Sula, Bledion Nallbait, Helidon Bushati, Jorida Tabaku, Lefter Gështenja and Saimir Korreshi, demanded that first the elections be held in the branches and then the elections for the chairman.
The second group with Enkelejd Alibeaj, Roland Bejko and Agron Kapllanaj opposed this proposal.
After leaving the meeting, the deputies were insulted by some Lulzim Basha militants who were standing outside the building where the meeting was being held.
At one point, the deputies clashed verbally, which almost precipitated into physical violence against them. Basha's supporters also attacked and insulted the media that were reporting.
